Elevate and Collide
Susan Brunet
SF: What does your brand stand for?
SB: All right, what does Elevate & Collide stand for. . . life. Its a very true and honest expression of the world. Everyone has there own definition, and I wouldn’t take that away.
SF: What is the inspiration?
SB: I am mostly inspired by art, music and the current events. I am always going out to art openings, and concerts, and I eat up some CNN everyday!
SF: Who are your customers?
SB: Originally I believed my customer was a metropolitan woman who is very career oriented. Originally. That didn’t really happen, surprisingly and happily almost every woman I came across was able to find her look. The line is very versatile, you can come up with several different looks by working them differently.
SF: What’s new this season?
SB: This season I introduced a 100% silk group. Very fun and easy for anyone to wear and maintains our creative details and functionality. This group has been doing very good.
SF: What items are people responding to most?
SB: The silk group.
SF: Are any celebs wearing your pieces?
SB: Not quite yet, we are so new that the line has just barely hit the stores. Celebs feel free to give me a call!
SF: How did you get started in the industry?
SB: I got started in this industry by driving out here from Atlanta and taking a chance. I wasn’t sure I would be able to get a job right out of school, thankfully I lucked out. I spent a while doing swimwear, and moved on to collections for several years.
SF: What is your must-have item?
SB: For fall the must have item is a modern coat with tech fabric, the Rock Coat.
For Spring the bright colored silk and cotton knit tank top with heavy metal snaps.
SF: What are you wearing right now?
SB: Hahah do you really want to know, I am wearing lounge wear shorts, white t-shirt and a dingy hoody.
SF: Is there anything else you would like to share with the Shopflick community?
SB: I love you guys!
