Rockstar Fashion- Grammy’s 2010
Published by admin on Feb 9th, 2010
This past weekend I had the honor of covering fashion for E! “Countdown To The Grammy’s Red Carpet” at the Staples Center. Talk about rubbing elbows with music royalty! From Rhianna to GaGa, Miley Cyrus to Taylor Swift, the stars were rocking the red carpet in bold, attention grabbing ensembles. Thus, my inspiration for this week’s article: paying homage to rockstar clothing.
Oh! and the highlight of my night?? How about partying at Prince’s mansion with Lady GaGa to my right and Brit Spears to my left?? Now I’m not one to gloat, but that’s worth bragging about!! Enjoy
You know Rhianna would snatch these sequin hot pants up in a second!
This faux fur vest is a 70’s trend that has found its way into the life of Hollywood’s trendsetters. I love it with jeans or even over a hot little dress.
Nothin’ says rocker chic like chains and leather. These Dolce Vita chain booties are insanely fierce!!
A gutsy alternative to basic black leggings… Oh La La lace leggings are sexy and so rock and roll!

Happy Heart Day

For the LOVE of Necklaces…….
Whether you are in love, out of love, or just plain OVER love, Valentine’s Day is near.
With that said, there’s no better time to drop a hint to your main squeeze …or even just gift yourself!
Who does your heart belong to??? A necklace and conversation piece in one!
Profess your love without saying anything at all!
My favorite thing about this ENVELOPE LOVE LETTER LOCKET is it’s slightly vintage, worn-in finish.
I love the idea of wearing a battered heart necklace on V-Day…even if you are in love. Rock it!!
Old Hollywood Glam at THE Golden Globe Hospitality Suite!
Published by Lindsay on Jan 24th, 2010
Bring on the Glitz and Glam!!
This last week I was invited to a star studded Golden Globe hospitality suite, sponsored by Live Loyal PR and EMC Bowery. I was asked to attend as a featured Style Expert and so I met with each guest and gave them one-on-one style advice on everything from A-to-Z. With so many Golden Globe parties coming up (InStyle, HBO, Fox Searchlight and NBC), I fit and styled a bunch of celebrities in gowns and cocktail dresses, chosen from designers Randi Rahm and Rose Taft.
Guests were pampered (literally) from head to toe with beauty treatments sponsored by Valerie of Beverly Hills, OPI and Suburbia Salon and enjoyed cocktails by Ciroq Vodka and snacks from Doughboys….and did I mention the 360-degree, breathtaking views of Los Angeles?
The event was held at a private estate in the Hollywood Hills and was attended by celebrities such as Lauren Conrad, Nicole Scherzinger, Lacey Schwimmer, Ali Landry, and other industry insiders. Good times!
What I’m noticing is that more and more designers are displaying an old Hollywood glam inspiration. Anything to snazz or jazz up an outfit, seems in vogue and all the rage.
Take this eco-conscious Mr. Larkin cotton gown. It is the epitome of Old Hollywood glam. Its stunning with a pair of heels for night and equally appropriate for day with a flat sandal.

This flashy little Mike Vensel mini tank dress is more exciting than your basic LBD!!

Try snazzing your outfit up with this smokey quartz statement ring from Jessica Matrasko Jewelry. It is simply is Bauble-licious!!!

Lindsay’s Latest: Kate Moss

Kate Moss Rockin the Blazer and Sequin
I always turn to Miss Moss for fashion inspiration. When it comes to true style, this girl’s just got it! From the runways to the streets, she always looks effortlessly cool and put together without trying too hard. She’s the master of pairing subtle detailed pieces with timeless basics and with her as my muse, I’m going to show you how to get this look.
THIS ROBERT RODRIGUEZ CROSS-OVER PIECE will have conservatives and hipsters high-fiving. It is truly a classic black staple with the structured shoulders providing a cool 80’s vibe. Best of all, it’s a grab-and-go addition to your wardrobe because of its compatibility with all your basics. I personally love pairing embellished or striped tops underneath depending on what mood I’m in.
Some may find it a little outrageous to deck themselves in sequins and sparkle. That’s where THIS ADORABLE MR. LARKIN NUMBER comes in…a splash of sequin give it a hint of glitz and glamour without making you look or feel like a disco ball.

Obama Victory, Fashion Prevails
Published by meledesigns on Nov 7th, 2008
Vicarious vivid vibrant velvet vixen fashion celebrated the election victory at the Paper Magazine party in West Hollywood last night that would get Obama’s style stamp of approval. New trends popped up like velveteen rich flower blossom headbands mixed with hard edge belts and elongating black sleek cut tops.
Hipsters united by mixing up doll dresses with dark tights, plaids, leather jackets, boots, boots, and more statement boots to help support fall fashion. We can always count on them for vagabond victorious style.
The 70’s even showed up with cord skirts, bell bottom jeans, and dreamy lace tops that would stop a war in it’s W. tracks. Peace and love seemed to be the theme as free drinks were served and warning signs stating “dancing is encouraged” armed the party soldiers.
The fashionistas were equipped with festivity assets that let fashion prevail without mavericks killing the style fly buzz. Paper Magazine kept the movement rolling on Friday with their pop-up 24 hour shopping event co-hosted by Converse and Levi’s.
